It Pays to Pay Attention 2006 LP -- 9 to 1 Records Sorry's 2006 follow-up to its critically acclaimed* Non-winner EP. This one's a beauty, with lots of pa-pa-pa's and ooo's mixed in with tasty bits of distortion and tight harmonies. Reviews Let it be known that I dig this record a lot. You have contributed to the world a 1.2 mm thick polycarbonate disc that is truly a pleasant pop experience. To my ears they sound like a band raised on equal parts powerpop (the Posies, Teenage Fanclub) and indiepop (Versus, True Love Always, the Lucksmiths). All and all, Sorry is melodic and harmony driven and really darn good. Consider me your new champion. -- Seattle Power Pop Blog I was crazy about their last EP, "Non-Winner", and have also seen a number of these songs performed live, so I already knew I would love this record ... beautifully written --indiepages.com good songs with some great promise --john richards, KEXP Somehow they manage to pay homage to the Stone Roses and to the Beatles while still sounding fresh and new. It adds a new dimension to music coming out of the Seattle area ... I love this CD! --Amazon.com reviewer Great songs, great feel. I'm very impressed. --maverick mind, Amazon.com review |
